This time, domestic information and communication technology (ICT) companies such as Chunghwa Telecom and BenQ, along with Taipei Veterans General Hospital, have been invited to participate in the exhibition. It is hoped that by leveraging Taiwan’s outstanding medical technology and solid ICT capabilities, they can drive the development of advantageous technologies and energy in the medical field. This initiative aims to lead other medical industries by exporting Taiwan’s strengths in healthcare cloud data and smart healthcare, thereby creating a national brand in the smart healthcare industry.
In recent years, the government has been actively promoting the digital transformation of hospitals and the “medical-led commercial development” initiative. Taipei medical institutions have also cooperated with Taiwan’s key information and communication technology (ICT) industries to advance into Vietnam, in line with the New Southbound Policy, to jointly promote industry development. This effort coincides with the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of last year (2022). Local telecommunications company Viettel Group in Vietnam has expressed great admiration for the maturity and completeness of Taiwan’s smart healthcare development.
